School won't do that, but perhaps we can use their PD funds.

6. New Adobe licenses - PM/SM
Do we need to look at alternative licensing? It might be cheaper. Are there alternatives to Adobe. Orion will talk to purchasing about investigating alternative costs for alternative

Are we ready to start using it? Fernando has been working with Pat. What is the easiest way to get the kids (and teachers) on?
It would be great to only accept people with sasstudent emails and sas usernames.
Orion will speak to Fernando about bulk uploading of students and teachers,
Date we expect to go live - Can we begin in January, have an overlap between Christmas and CNY, and then move to only the new portal after CNY.
We suggest that on the portal page conatin both addresses will be on the SASOC page.
Auto Play has to be NO - Fernando must set that as the default.

They are hard to manage without Apple Support.
Can Solution Keys help? Yes, but they need some support. There needs to be a procedure or a system in place, then you may pass off the 'grunt' work.
Casper software - it is illegal to use in China, however it does some things. It is more for configuration than syncing.
9. Etherpad install possible-Schoolwide?-JD
Is this a possibility for us? It's a collaborative writing space.
Currently, the files are small, but we need to be careful if they people begin adding media - photos and videos.
It is an opportunity to be peer editing.
Orion will set up a test ethernet server that both campuses are able to access. Yay
10. iPads for ES teachers for literacy data collection-Running records, reading and writing workshop conferencing. Currently teachers using personal machines-JD
Combined with agenda item 5. Jeff D purchased ipad dongles to give some support to teachers using personal devices.
One solution is gifting teacher apps such as Confer to teachers.
We need more conversations about this. We need one central location for itunes cards and expenses.
Itunes cards and purchasing goes through Tech coaches.
Remember to budget for unallocated funds for unforeseen aps (software)
11. MAP test update. Next possible steps IT-wise to better support Pudong testing.
IBM has given some data to CISCO to ask for some feedback. Orion plans to do a real thorough audit of the network and servers. Orion plans to put another MAP server in Pudong.
